Sharan works in our friendly Customer and Carer team. Her role is to look after our customer and carer communities making sure they are happy and pleased with the service.
We caught up with Sharan and fired a few questions at her to get to know her a bit better…
Q: What do you enjoy most about working at SuperCarers?
I have been here since June last year. I enjoy talking to different clients and carers each day. No day is the same, and you’re able to build relationships with clients and carers.
It’s been really enjoyable holding carer coffee mornings and drop in sessions as you get to meet the carers you talk to on the phone, and it’s nice sharing stories with them. I really enjoy the relationships you build, from carers giving me home remedy recipes when I’m not feeling well, to clients calling in just to check in with me!
I also really enjoy the team I work with, we’re all pretty different and have different interests, but all get along really well together! My favourite moment so far has to be the most recent games night we had.
Q: What is the one thing you’ve learnt during your time at SuperCarers?
The one thing I’ve learnt at SuperCarers is that nothing is ever really as bad as it seems, so it’s not to panic and just take your time to work through things!
Q: How would you describe the culture at SuperCarers in 3 words?
Caring- the team here care about each other and also the work that we do and what we are trying to build
Fun- it’s a fun place to work, with a great team!
Diverse- We’re a very diverse team, and often have snacks from different parts of the world- we love experiencing different cultures.
Q: Best advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I ever received has been if you have a problem then come with a solution, I try to apply this advice as it’s a more proactive approach rather than just having a moan about something.
Q: If you had to swap teams for a week, which one would it be and why?
I would love to get an insight into the tech team, I find coding so fascinating, and I’d love to see the process behind the dev team building new features for us.
Q: What’s your go-to place to eat in Shoreditch?
My go to place used to be this awesome jerk chicken pop-up restaurant in the Magic Roundabout- it was our Friday go to, but they have now sadly moved to Dinerama (Boo).
