How do you vet the carers on your website?

Posted on October 21, 2019

Before carers are allowed to provide their services via the online platform, all carers undergo a thorough vetting process.

This includes identity and right to work checks, references and face to face interviews, we meet every care in person. They are also required to provide an enhanced DBS (criminal record, formerly CRB) check or obtain a new one. Group interviews are designed to answer the question, “Would we want this person to look after our own loved one?”.

In addition to kindness, compassion and a commitment to caring with dignity - critical in a great carer - we look for good communication skills and initiative. We require that all carers have a minimum of a year’s care experience.

To complete background checks we may use third party services and technologies to verify things like documentation.
